<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water sealing structure for emergency, which is applied to an underground structure constituted by continuously providing a plurality of building frames, and which can secure a water sealing function between the building frames even on the occurrence of unexpected ground deformation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This water sealing structure 1 for emergency is provided in the underground structure constituted by continuously providing box culverts 10 and 10. The water sealing structure 1 includes a waterproof storage section 21 which is installed astride a boundary between the box culverts 10 adjacent to each other, and a water sealing material 22 which is housed in the storage section 21; the water sealing material 22 is made of aggregate of a powdery or granular material containing a water-swelling clay material; and the storage section 21 can be torn by a force which causes the formation of an aperture or shear displacement between both the box culverts 10.
