<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pigmented spots from developing on the skin due to migration of a photochromic agent to keratinous materials lying beneath in making up. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for making up human keratinous materials with photosensitive makeup includes:(i) a layer of a thermally stable photochromic composition, comprising a photochromic agent color-developable by UV radiation and a light-acting agent that screens UV radiation, is applied to the keratinous material; and (ii) the layer is exposed in non-uniform manner to UV radiation to excite the photochromic agent and create a look of photochromic makeup, the screening power F of the composition in regard to solar UV radiation (280-400 nm) being 2 or more.
