<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-proof ion conductor of excellent ion conductivity, usable in a fuel cell or the like and excellent also in film formation performance, to provide a manufacturing method therefor, and to provide an electrochemical device using the ion conductor. <P>SOLUTION: The ion conductor is made from a polymer composed by bonding carbon clusters each having an ion dissociative functional group, via a bonding group respectively. The polymer is hardly soluble in water and is chemically-stable, compared with a single carbon cluster derivative, to allow a large number of the ion dissociative functional groups to be introduced. Moreover, a concentration of the ion dissociative functional group is prevented from getting low in the ion conductor, owing to polymerization, by introducing the ion dissociative functional group also into the connecting group. A synthetic reaction of the polymer is constituted of a simple condensation reaction, a substitution reaction and a hydrolysis reaction, to be thereby easily carried out, high in yield, and mass productive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
