<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that is charged at a high voltage of ≥4.3 V and has superior cycle characteristics and superior high temperature storage characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided which is characterized in that a nonaqueous solvent in a nonaqueous electrolyte contains ethylene carbonate of ≥25% and ≤40% by volume and the nonaqueous electrolyte further contains 1, 3-dioxane and a dinitrile compound. Both of the cycle characteristic and high temperature storage characteristic of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery are improved by a synergistic effect between the 1, 3-dioxane and the dinitrile compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
