<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor capable of having both high dielectric constant and high electric insulation even if the thickness of a dielectric ceramic layer is less than 1 μm. <P>SOLUTION: The multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a plurality of dielectric ceramic layers and a plurality of internal electrodes formed along a particular interface between the dielectric ceramic layers, and each dielectric ceramic layer includes a dielectric ceramic containing a perovskite compound represented by ABO<SB>3</SB>as a principal component and R (R is La and the like), M (M is Mn and the like) and Si as accessory components. If the crystal particle of the dielectric ceramic is classified into a first crystal particle having a particle diameter larger than a quarter of the thickness of the dielectric ceramic layer and a second crystal particle having a particle diameter less than or equal to a quarter of the thickness of the dielectric ceramic layer, the first and second crystal particles have peaks P1 and P2 of a particle size distribution, respectively, and the area ratio of the first crystal particle is caused to be 41 to 69% on the cross-section of the dielectric ceramic layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
