<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater which improves temperature distribution within a hot water storage tank and enables highly efficient operation. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes: the hot water storage tank 1; a heating means 2 for heating water in the hot water storage tank 1; a first pipe 11 for supplying hot water within the hot water storage tank 1 to the heating means 2 from the lower part of the hot water storage tank 1; a second pipe 12 for returning the heated water from the heating means 2 to the hot water storage tank 1; a water supply pipe 4 connected to the lower part of the hot water storage tank 1; a first stored hot water temperature detection means 14 provided in an approximately intermediate part in the height direction of the hot water storage tank 1; a second temperature detection means 15 provided in the water supply pipe 4 or the lower part of the hot water storage tank 1; and a control means 16. The second pipe 12 is connected to an upper part and the approximately intermediated part of the hot water storage tank 1 via a flow passage switching means 13, and the operation of the flow passage switching means 13 is controlled based on output of the first stored hot water temperature detection means 14 and the second temperature detection means 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
