METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING NITRITE NITROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically measure nitrite nitrogen safely with high accuracy in a continuous fashion.

SOLUTION: The concentration of nitrite nitrogen in sample water is measured by a combination of a flow injection analysis method and an electrochemical detection method. A reagent solution for use in the flow injection analysis method is an acidic solution. The nitrite nitrogen contained in the sample water reacts with the reagent solution injected through a tubule 41. Upon arrival at a flow cell 5 through a tubule 42, this reaction liquid is measured in the flow cell 5 for a current corresponding to the concentration of nitrite nitrogen in the sample water.
