<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use high-temperature gas for purifying exhaust gas by estimating the temperature of high-temperature gas separated by a vortex tube. <P>SOLUTION: The vortex tube 28 is provided in the middle of an exhaust gas supply path 26 leading from an exhaust manifold 21 to an intake path 17. Exhaust gas led to flow from the exhaust manifold 21 into the vortex tube 28 is separated into high-temperature gas and low-temperature gas, and the low-temperature gas is sent to the intake path 17 through a second filler tube 262. The high-temperature gas is led to flow out to an exhaust path 22 upstream of an exhaust emission control means 23 through a high-temperature gas path 36. A control computer C calculates (estimates) temperature of the high-temperature gas based on temperature of the exhaust gas in the exhaust gas supply path 26, detected by a temperature detector 39, and the valve position of a valve element 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
