PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knocking control device for a spark ignition type internal-combustion engine capable of eliminating the knocking at an ignition timing and with a compression ratio to attain the optimum fuel economy in accordance with the operating condition. SOLUTION: The knocking control device of the spark ignition type internal-combustion engine includes a compression ratio varying mechanism, where a piston and crank shaft are coupled together through a plurality of links, and the compression ratio varying mechanism varies the mechanical compression ratio by changing the position of the piston upper dead center through a change of the link attitude. The device further includes a knocking sensing means S2 to sense the knocking and knocking eliminating means S6-S10 to eliminate the eventual knocking by controlling either in priority of the ignition timing and the compression ratio in accordance with the operating condition.
