PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device which prevents or suppresses a step-wise change of braking torque in a decelerating condition. SOLUTION: A driving force control device of a vehicle is connected with a transmission on an output side of a driving force source connected with an oil pump, and transmits a torque outputted from the transmission to driving wheels. The device is equipped with: a braking change determing means (steps S2 and S3) for determinig an operating state change of the driving force source or the transmission for increasing the braking torque in the driving wheels step-wise in the decelerating condition of compulsorily rotating the driving force source by a torque transmitted from the driving force source through the transmission; and a pump load reducing means (step S10) for reducing a load acting on the driving force source by the oil pump in connection with the operating state variation of the driving force source or the transmission.
