PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new indole in the form of structural analogs of the primary I3C metabolites that have optimized to enhance their anticancer activity and retain their safe biological profile. SOLUTION: There are provided the analogs of indole-3-carbinol metabolites wherein the structures and substituents of the compounds are selected to enhance the compounds' overall efficacy, particularly therapeutic activity, oral bioavailability, long-term safety, patient tolerability, and therapeutic window.
