PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of easily confirming effects of beautiful skin processing without missing the continuity of photography. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes: an imaging section for capturing a subject image to produce an image; an image processing section for applying face recognition processing of a subject and beautiful skin processing to the image produced by the imaging section, the beautiful skin processing including at least one of color tone correction, contrast correction, brightness correction and adjustment of a featured portion in the face of the subject; and a display section for displaying thereon a preview image for photographing confirmation. When displaying the preview image based on the image, to which the beautiful skin processing has been applied, the display section displays the preview image continuously for a predetermined time, or extends the display time of the preview image more than the case of displaying a preview image based on an image, to which the beautiful skin processing has not been applied.
