PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold release film with excellent releasability in a printing process for shallow draw and middle draw, with excellent heat dimensional change and printability, excellent moldability because of extending easily with low stress, and providing a molded article with excellent low glossiness. SOLUTION: The mold release film has a release layer on one face of the film face, and has a longitudinal heat contraction rate of the release film of 3.0% or less at 180°C for 5 minutes, and a lateral heat contraction rate of 0.5% or less. In the tensile test at 25°C, 5% elongation stress in the longitudinal direction of the release film is 90-120 MPa, and 100% elongation stress is 200 MPa or less in both longitudinal and lateral directions, and a center line-average roughness (Ra) of the release layer surface is 0.30-0.70μm.
