摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescoping mechanism for a telescopic boom that lifts a crane used for constructing a high rise tower structure such as a column or a tower to a required altitude. SOLUTION: Main cylinders 18 are housed in telescopically combined booms 11-17, and a piston rod 19 capable of corresponding reciprocation is oriented downward. The piston rod 19 has, at a tip, a regular hexagonal rod block 19a carrying rod coupling pins 20 at three sides. The main cylinder 18 has, at a head, a regular hexagonal head block 30 carrying head coupling pins 33 at three sides. The rod coupling pins 20 and the head coupling pins 33 are arranged in superposed positions, and common coupling holes 21a adapted for engagement with them are disposed at lower ends of the booms 11-17. A fixing means comprising boom fixing pins 27 and linking holes 28 adapted for the insertion of them is disposed in positions opposed to other three sides of the head block 30.
