<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of editing a final finish state by post-adding a linear drawing at a newly generated part desired to be emphasized or desired to raise attention during preview. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus having a function for preview display of image data obtained by reading a document image prior to image formation, a locus of a touch position on a preview-displayed preview image is detected, a linear drawing (any one of freehand drawing, a preset underline, a rectangle and a circle) formed from the detected locus is added to the image data of the document image, and the image data are printed.
