PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for turning a patient room into semiprivate rooms, which can create the semiprivate room capable of maintaining sufficient privacy and providing a comfortable life in a hospital, by partitioning a big patient room with a simple and sturdy panel unit with extensibility, employing common specifications so as to reduce costs. SOLUTION: A wall surface-side panel is installed along the wall surface of the patient room by means of the one or more panel units which are formed in a T-shape in a plan view by perpendicularly connecting a partition panel 3 to the center of the linearly-connected wall surface-side panels 2; and the big patient room is partitioned into the two or more semiprivate rooms. In the panel unit 1, three basic panels 4 with a minimum unit width are connected together in a T-shape in a plan view; an extended panel 5 with a width set as an integral multiple of the minimum unit width is linearly connected to each of the basic panels; and storage furniture units 9 with a width equal to the minimum unit width are installed at corners on both the sides of the basic panel as the partition panel, respectively, and connected to any one of the basic panels.
