PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouthpiece capable of thoroughly reducing a feeling of nausea. SOLUTION: This mouthpiece includes: mouthpiece bodies 18, 22 and 24 which are inserted into the oral cavity, are sandwiched between upper teeth and lower teeth, and are wearable on a subject; an insertion hole 20 which is formed on the mouthpiece bodies 18, 22 and 24 and inserts the insertion section 40 of an endoscope into the pharyngeal region; and tongue retainers 26 and 28 which are provided at the mouthpiece bodies 18, 22 and 24 and can retain the tongue 50 at a retracted disposition which is rotatingly moved with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tongue 50 disposed at a regular position.
