<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and surely perform the update processing of firmware without imposing any labor on a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A UI control part 501 displays a menu screen for firmware update or displays an update schedule setting screen for firmware. An update schedule control part 502 sets the update schedule of the firmware according to the setting of UI to be controlled by a UI control part 501. A determination part 503 determines whether or not the update of the version of the firmware is possible when setting the update schedule of the firmware. An update process holding part 504 holds information for the scheduled update. An update processing part 505 executes the update of the firmware based on the information held by the update process holding part 504.
