The unit (1) has a backflow preventer (4) installed in a supply line between an evaporator (2) and a high-pressure condensate heat exchanger i.e. finned pipe heat exchanger (17), to prevent uncontrolled thermal reverse flow of condensate from the evaporator. The high-pressure condensate heat exchanger ends at a lower end of a heat insulating sheath and is connected to a condensate high-pressure line (5). Cooled water in an inner zone (6) flows downward by higher density, and warmer and lighter water located in an outer zone (11) is pressurized upward, where a thermodynamic cycle is developed. An independent claim is also included for a condensate feedback device comprising a condensate low pressure line.
