<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a line load of transmission of an alarm notification by stopping an alarm notification and by putting an optical transmission device generating an alarm in a standby state, when the optical transmission device becomes an unstable state and repeats generation and restoration of an alarm. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication system includes a mobile station 101 for receiving or transmitting communication data wirelessly from or to a moving sub unit 102 of an optical transmission device, the optical transmission device sub unit 102 connected to a main unit 103 of the optical transmission device via an optical cable and receiving or transmitting the communication data therefrom or thereto, the optical transmission device main unit 103 wirelessly connected to a wireless base station 105 and transmitting the communication data received from the optical transmission device sub unit 102 to the wireless base station 105 or transmitting communication data received from the wireless base station 105 to the specified optical transmission sub unit 102, and a remote monitor 109 for monitoring alarms of the optical transmission sub unit 102 and optical transmission main units 103.
