METHOD FOR RECOVERING POLYURETHANE RESIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYURETHANE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering a polyurethane resin, which includes adjusting pH of an aqueous polyurethane emulsion to 5.0-7.0 by adding an acidic liquid to the emulsion to cause aggregation, and then suitably obtaining the polyurethane resin by separating the aggregates, and to provide a method for producing a polyurethane resin.

SOLUTION: The method for recovering a polyurethane resin or the method for producing a polyurethane resin includes adjusting the hydrogen ion exponent (pH) of an aqueous polyurethane emulsion (a) by adding an acidic liquid (b) to the aqueous polyurethane emulsion (a) to cause aggregation and obtaining the polyurethane resin by separating the aggregates. A specific aqueous polyurethane emulsion is used as the aqueous polyurethane emulsion (a).
