<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device, a power source state notification method and a power source state notification program, in which charging can be continued without trouble while notifying a user the situation regarding the charging when charging a rechargeable battery whose remaining capacity is small. <P>SOLUTION: A charging unit charges a rechargeable battery with a pre-charge current (S24) when voltage of the rechargeable battery is below a first value (S23). Power source activation is disabled during the pre-charging. Then, indication that the power source activation is disabled is performed (S25).
