PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent detergent for food tableware, which has safety first, is excellent in detergency and whippability, does not further deteriorate appearance, and has transparency. SOLUTION: The transparent detergent for the food tableware contains: a polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, which is a food additive, as a surfactant; and all other constituents composed of food additives and/or drinking products, and has transparency at a low temperature. The transparent detergent for the food tableware also contains: a polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester and a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester, which are food additives, as surfactants; and all other constituents composed of food additives and/or drinking products, wherein cloudiness of the polyglyceryl fatty acid ester at a low temperature is prevented by the polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester.
