PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and control device that can prevent a panel block from falling and is easy to handle for construction work and maintenance work. SOLUTION: A monitoring and control device has a construction wherein: a panel block 20 having a liquid crystal display 51 is detachably fitted on the front face of a buried block 10 fixated on a wall, with an engagement click 24a fitted in an engagement hole 13 formed in the buried block 10; and a frame-shaped decorative plate 30 is disposed around the panel block 20. The decorative plate 30 has: a plate frame 31 fixated on the buried block 10 by a screw for plates; and a plate cover 32 fitted on the plate frame 31 from a front side thereof. The front wall 32a of the plate cover 32 is provided with a cover side exposure window 61b opened, in which the panel block 10 is fitted with no gap. Portions of both upper and lower surfaces of the panel block 10 on a rear side of the front wall 32a is provided with falling prevention protrusions 25, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
