<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately feed back to a user using a fingerprint sensor about reading status, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A fingerprint sensing device includes a fingerprint sensor and a light source close to the fingerprint sensor. The light source is capable of providing multiple illumination formats for changing a light emission interval in intermittent illumination and a luminescence color. Each of the multiple illumination formats is associated with an operating status of the fingerprint sensor, and it is fed back to the user.
