PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autoanalyzer allowing racks to be safely handled and inspection to be rapidly performed. SOLUTION: The autoanalyzer includes: sample racks 4 holding specimen containers 17 with specimens housed therein; a tray 51 with the sample racks 4 arranged/mounted thereon; first to sixth movement mechanisms 56 to 61 each pulling out a sample rack 4 mounted on the tray 51 to move it to a sacking position for a specimen in a specimen container 17 held in the sample rack 4 and to a refuge position after sucking is performed; a cover 54 covering the movement mechanisms 56 to 61 provided so as to allow an opening 541 to be moved in the arrangement direction of the sample racks 4, with a sample rack 4 pulled out from the tray 51 passing therethrough; and an opening/closing mechanism 55 for opening/closing the opening 541, with the sample rack 4 passing therethrough.
