PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulky paper for books of high whiteness including regenerated particles. SOLUTION: The paper for books, comosed of a substrate paper added with a filler inside, is provided. In the paper for books, the filler (regenerated particles) is obtained by the following process: with deinked floss as the main material, the main material is dewatered, dried, combusted, and pulverized; wherein the combustion step includes at least a two-step combustion stage, i.e. involving a first combustion oven 14 and a second combustion oven 32 for combusting again the deinked floss subjected to combustion in the first combustion oven; wherein a combustion treatment is conducted at 300-500°C in the first combustion oven 14.
