PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destructive insect-controlling device thereby diurnal agriculturally destructive insects can thereby be attracted and trapped in large numbers during the day in which the insects are activated. SOLUTION: A destructive insect-controlling device 1 is provided with a light-radiating part 2 that radiates light for attracting the insects, and a trap 6 for trapping insects that are drawn to the light radiated from the light-radiating part 2. The light-radiating part 2 radiates at least part of light of 250-330 nm light wavelength bands. Because the light radiated from the light-radiating part 2 has a light wavelength component not included in sunlight and a light wavelength component included in the sunlight with weak radiation, the diurnal agriculturally destructive insects can visually recognize the contrast of ultraviolet rays.
