PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary implement which can surely suppress a flip-up phenomenon of a protective cover (canopy) annexed to an operating rod/locking rod and which does not deteriorate maintenance workability of lubrication work etc., and a shunt having the auxiliary implement; and to provide an easy-to-use auxiliary implement which can be easily attached to an existing shunt, and a shunt having the auxiliary implement. SOLUTION: A first member 1 has an attachment portion 11 for attachment to the outside, and a second member 2 is turnably combined with the first member 1. An opening/closing mechanism 3, which is attached to the first member 1, allows the turning of the second member 2 in an opened state, and elastically latches the second member 2 to the side of the first member 1 in a closed state.
