<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress cumulative change of a flicker, in a liquid crystal display, a control method and electronic equipment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display 10 has a liquid crystal display panel 100 which holds a liquid crystal layer 50 between a pixel electrode 118 provided at a first substrate 100a and a common electrode 108 provided at a second substrate 100b, and has a plurality of liquid crystal elements where a voltage of positive polarity and a voltage of negative polarity are alternately written for each frame; and a heater 40 that heats the liquid crystal display panel 100 when power off is instructed.
