<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of maintaining the whole height low and preventing an increase in the height of an entire conveyor line even if it is arranged on a conveyor line for conveying heavy conveying articles, and a conveyor device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The transfer device 1 is configured of a conveying part 12 and a lifting part 13 both fixed to a casing 14. The conveying part 12 includes rollers 9 aligned in rows and columns forming a lattice shape, chains 7 for linking and rotating a group of the rollers 9 aligned in a row direction and a group of rollers 9 aligned in a column direction formed of the rollers per group, a holding cover 5 disposed at each lattice point, and drive devices 3 for conveyance. A lifting part 13 includes a drive device 2 for lifting, rectilinearly-movable members 6 for performing rectilinear motion, and converting members 4 each converting the motion of the rectilinearly-movable member 6 to rotational motion and transmitting it as lifting motion. The converting members 4 are arranged at the respective lattice points to lift up and down the rollers, and to lift up and down either group of rollers 9 in the row direction and the column direction concurrently.
