<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodialysis method for treating a silicate-containing potassium-hydroxide etching waste liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method is provided with a reaction vessel 1 including a cathode electrode 11, an anode electrode 13 and two cation permeable membranes, the reaction vessel 1 is separated by cation permeable membranes 15 into a cathode chamber 171, an anode chamber 173, and a waste liquid chamber 175 positioned between the cathode chamber 171 and the anode chamber 173. Potassium ions are moved from the waste liquid chamber 175 to the cathode chamber 171 after passing through the cation permeable membranes 15 by charging a sulfuric acid solution into the anode chamber 173, a potassium hydroxide solution into the cathode chamber 171 and by introducing the silicate-containing potassium-hydroxide etching waste liquid into the waste liquid chamber 175, and by applying voltage and current density to each of the chambers.
