<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric shutter allowing a controller to be easily removed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric shutter has a winding shaft on which a shutter curtain is wound; a motor for driving the winding shaft; and the controller for controlling the motor to lift the shutter curtain. The controller is located at the side of the shutter curtain wound in the axial direction of the winding shaft, and disposed in a region outside the winding shaft excluding one region out of two regions formed by dividing a region held between tangent lines of a first point on the outer periphery of the winding shaft and a second point on the outer periphery in a symmetric position with respect to the center of the winding shaft, by a straight line connecting the first point to the second point when viewed from a direction along the winding shaft.
