A tap having a valve member consisting of a rubber &c. washer 20 carried by a jumper 18 actuated by a screwed spindle 16 and coacting with a seat 6, has a second valve member 9 carried by a guide member 5 of cruciform section and adapted, when the upper valve member is fully opened, to close against a seat 7 to permit the upper valve member to be removed. The member 9 is also arranged to coact with a shoulder 13 surrounding the inlet to the tap to form a seal against siphoning from the outlet back to the inlet. The tap body consists of two parts 1, 2 screwed together. |
