The carrier has a chip module (1) including a chip (2) with an integrated switching circuit, where a transponder antenna (6) is attached to the module. The antenna is provided for contactless communication of the carrier. A magnetic element (7) e.g. magnetic film, produces magnetic field. A switching element e.g. reed-switch (3), is provided on the chip in the module and actuated by the magnetic field. The switching element is switched such that the contactless communication of the carrier by the antenna is deactivated during actuating the switching element by the magnetic field.
