The screw (1) has a body (2) provided with an external thread (3) comprising safety thread turn windings (6) defined by thread teeth (7, 9). A cross-section profile of the windings is deformed for increasing frictional connection of a screw connection formed by the screw. The thread teeth defining the safety thread turn windings are exclusively deformed along common axial direction (8). The safety thread turn windings are axially spaced from each other over a non-deformed thread turn (11). The thread teeth are deformed over its entire periphery extension. The body is designed as a screw shank.
