<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in physical layer wireless communications. <P>SOLUTION: Implementations related to reduction in power consumption in the physical layer wireless communications are disclosed. A method for reducing power consumption during Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processing in a device is provided, which includes steps of: receiving input data for FFT processing in which result data are generated from the input data; determining whether the result data corresponding to the input data has been previously stored in a memory, prior to FFT processing of the input data; and retrieving the result data from the memory if the result data has been previously stored in the memory.
