<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with transplantation of cultured autologous cartilage for treating cartilage defect, and to provide a composition and a method effective for the treatment. <P>SOLUTION: A composition containing synovial cells and cartilage pieces is used for cartilage restoration treatment. The cartilage restoration composition contains the synovial cells and cartilage pieces. In addition, a method of cartilage restoration treatment includes the step (1) in which the synovial cells are prepared from the synovium harvested from an object of cartilage restoration treatment, the step (2) in which the cartilage harvested from the object of cartilage restoration treatment is cut into pieces, and the step (3) in which a part requiring cartilage restoration treatment is filled simultaneously with the prepared synovial cells and the cartilage pieces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
