LASER OUTPUT AUTOMATIC CONTROL CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser output automatic control circuit capable of performing APC initialization at high speed and also holding a laser bias control value for a long time.

SOLUTION: The laser output automatic control circuit includes: an analog holding circuit which, according to a burst ON/OFF signal, operates the level of a laser bias control signal until laser output intensity reaches a predetermined value in a burst ON state and holds the level of the laser bias control signal in a holding capacitor in a burst OFF state; and a digital holding circuit which inputs the level of the laser bias control signal in the burst ON state and holds the level of the laser bias control signal in the burst OFF signal to supply the held level of the laser bias control signal to the holding capacitor of the analog holding circuit during transition from the burst OFF state to the burst ON state.
