<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device and a telecommunication system that synchronously transmit data with a clock signal being common between a transmission side and a reception side connected by an IP network. <P>SOLUTION: Interface devices (61, 71) include a state signal sampling unit (66) which samples an analog state signal to generate transmission data, a transmission and reception unit (74) which transmits the transmission data to the reception side and receives the transmission data from the transmission side with a transmission clock generated by synchronously converting the clock signal common between the transmission side and reception side, a timing extraction unit (63) which extracts transmission timing from the received transmission data, and a clock frequency reconversion unit (65) which performs inverse-conversion of the transmission clock into a clock signal having the same period with the clock signal.
