PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant with a ceramic coating and a method for coating the implant with ceramic.

SOLUTION: This implant (1) with a base body having at least one bone contact surface (K) and at least one soft-tissue contact surface (W), is characterized in that the soft-tissue contact surface (W) and/or a transition area (U) from the bone contact surface (K) to the soft-tissue contact surface (W) have/has at least partially a ceramic coating (2), and in that the bone contact surface (K) has an area without being provided with the ceramic coating (2).
