<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device acquiring information on the position or the like of an object irrespective of usage conditions. <P>SOLUTION: In the image input device 1, a display drive circuit 12 performs time division driving so that an ON period of an IR light source 151B may be shorter than an OFF period. A light reception drive circuit 13 drives a main sensor 111A and a sub sensor 111B so that reading may be performed after the elapse of light reception periods that are equal to each other in the ON period and the OFF period. An image processing unit 14 generates a difference image MC of an image MA in the ON period and an image MB in the OFF period, performs arithmetic processing of the center of gravity G and area S of an object on the basis of the difference image MC, and determines the position, or the like of the object. Each light reception time in the ON period and the OFF period is reduced in comparison with when the ON period and the OFF period are each subjected to time division driving in an equal time interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
