PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring a workpiece capable of carrying out high accuracy three-dimensional measurement with irreducibly minimum measuring data and measuring a broad range in a short period of time by scanning a measuring head safely at a high speed. SOLUTION: In the device 20 for measuring the workpiece, when command of pulse for the measuring head is outputted, the measuring head 8 measures a distance D to the workpiece 9 at the time point. When command of pulse for position data is outputted, a NC device 13 obtains the position of the measuring head to a point to be measured on the workpiece. The pulse for the position data is more aggressively delayed than the pulse for the measuring head by time difference through a delay circuit 15 and is outputted. A first time when the measuring head measures the distance by the command of pulse for the measuring head is made to coincide with a second time.
