PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing dilution water for making dialysate capable of efficiently cleaning a reverse osmosis membrane module with hot water in a comparatively short time. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the dilution water for making the dialysate includes a raw water storage tank, a pressure pump for supplying raw water by pressure, a pretreatment means, a high pressure pump for further supplying the raw water by pressure, the reverse osmosis membrane module for separating the raw water into permeated water and concentrated water with the reverse osmosis membrane, a permeated water storage means, and a permeated water supply means for supplying the permeated water stored in the permeated water storage means as the dilution water for making the dialysate. The apparatus further has a circulation path for circulating each the permeated water and the concentrated water of the reverse osmosis membrane module to the raw water storage tank, and a heating means additionally mounted on the raw material storage tank, and is configured to clean the reverse osmosis membrane module with hot water by gradually heating the circulated water by the heating means.
