The device has counterweights (4) arranged at different distances to a rotation axis and actively moved along a guide by a drive. The mass distribution of a rotor (1) is changed during assembling a rotor blade (3) by adding the counterweights, adjusting the counterweights and/or changing the counterweights with respect to weight of the bald. Multiple ballast tanks are connected with each other by a line and a conveying device so that the center of gravity position is changed by moving material from one of the tanks to the other tank.
