<p>The device (1) has a base plate (2) comprising a guiding slot (6) that is designed as a recess for a knife blade. Sharpening rods (10a, 10b) are arranged on both sides of the slot and designed to pivot against an elastically resilient restoring force. The base plate has two walls that comprise respective knife abutment surfaces (7a, 7b). Magnets (20, 21) are fastened to the base plate in an area of the knife abutment surfaces, and a pre-positioning unit is arranged on the base plate. The pre-positioning unit mounts the magnets, and pre-sharpening elements are arranged in a section of the slot.</p> |
