<p>The method involves thermoplastically reshaping a transparent sheet serving as an outer skin, where the transparent sheet has a front side (14) and a rear side (16), applying a wet paint onto the rear side of the transparent sheet to form a coloring layer (18), and drying the paint. The transparent sheet is provided with a foamed backing on the rear side, and a scratch-resistant coating (17) is applied to the transparent sheet. The transparent reshaped sheet (12) is flexible and is deep-drawn. An independent claim is also included for a foamed vehicle part, comprising an outer skin that is formed of a transparent, reshaped sheet and has a front side and a rear side, where the front side is visible from outside in an installed condition.</p> |
