<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient strength against external vibration or the like under a normal use condition and mitigate damage to an internal combustion engine main body or the like by absorbing impact force by destroying a predetermined section when vehicle collision. <P>SOLUTION: An intake device for an internal combustion engine 10 is provided with a center high strength part 12 which is formed with high mechanical strength, a surge tank 13 and an intake manifold 14 formed with mechanical strength lower than the center high strength part 12 as one body. The center strength part 12 is fixed on the internal combustion engine 20 by a flange 16 and a stay 30 to secure predetermined strength and to absorb impact force at a time of vehicle collision by the intake manifold 14 and the surge tank 13. Also, a narrow part 12a is provided on an upper part of the center high strength part 12 and to make it easy for the device to turn to the internal combustion engine 20 side around the same.
