CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling SCR- exhaust gas post-of an internal combustion engine comprises following steps. The operation life span of an internal combustion engine and the operation life span of reductant stored in a storage tank(2) are determined. The operating life span information is transmitted to a diagnostic system. The operating life span information is evaluated by the diagnostic system.
