PURPOSE: A common broadcasting receiver and a method for receiving a broadcasting signal of the same are provided to reduce an error which mistakenly detecting on signal among two signals as other signal in detecting one signal among a ground wave broadcasting signal and a cable signal. CONSTITUTION: A tuner unit(110) receives a broadcasting signal which includes one among ground wave broadcasting signal having one PN sequence among a 420 PN sequence, 595 PN sequence, and 945 PN sequence and a cable broadcasting signal which QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulated. An ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)(120) converts the received broadcasting signal into a digital signal. A signal detector(130) detects one signal among the ground wave broadcasting signal and the cable broadcasting signal from the converted signal. |
